The Power of Motivational Messages

September 20, 2019

Motivational messages enlighten, teach, and help one create new affirmations. I enjoy listening to motivational messages. I create various playlists on Youtube and I download podcasts of inspirational thoughts. I consider myself to be pretty self-motivated but I welcome and can always use a pick me up. We all can.

Les Brown, Zig Ziglar, Tony Robbins, Dave Ramsey, and Iyanla Vanzant are a few of my favorite motivational speakers. Les Brown’s comical approach to motivational speaking makes him instantly likable and he has a unique way of maintaining the audience’s attention throughout his speeches. His messages such as “It’s Possible!” highlights personal anecdotes of his successes and shortcomings. I love his transparency in sharing his unique setbacks. He uses them to motivate others to view failure as something to overcome and not fear.

Hearing motivational messages, especially during my morning routine gives me a boost and encourages me to make it a great day. Podcasts by Joel Osteen and Oprah are my top two. I fancy messages that are delivered with a teaching flair. Having theories and specific concepts to reference aids my ability to recall what I learned. Joel Osteen has a unique way of instilling high doses of optimism in the audience. He is positive, biblical, and sincere. I love Oprah’s SuperSoul Conversations with a diverse selection of guest speakers.

If you do not already, consider making it a habit to listen to motivational messages on various topics on a daily or weekly basis. It may change the way you see things for the better. No matter how much grit one may have naturally, we can all benefit from some extra motivation. Cheers to new beginnings!

“If you want a thing bad enough to go out
and fight for it,
to work day and night for it,
to give up your time, your peace and your sleep for it…
if all that you dream and scheme is about it,
and life seems useless and worthless without it…
if you gladly sweat for it and fret for it and plan for it
and lose all your terror of the opposition for it…
if you simply go after that thing you want
with all of your capacity, strength and sagacity,
faith, hope and confidence and stern pertinacity…
if neither cold, poverty, famine, nor gout,
sickness nor pain, of body and brain,
can keep you away from the thing that you want…
if dogged and grim you beseech and beset it,
with the help of God, you will get it!”
